Is a plant-based diet more expensive?
Vegetables, fruit, grains, nuts and seeds form the basis of any diet, so they should be consumed regardless of your dietary choices. The difference between a plant-based and non-plant-based diet is where you get your proteins from. Pulses are the cheapest source of all! If you have to buy any specific ingredients that you don't already have, such as miso or nutritional yeast, bear in mind that you only need a very small amount of them. These products can be stored for months and can therefore be used for a long time.
