Do I need to take any special supplements?

200 mg of DHA a day (an omega-3 fatty acid of which plant-based sources include algae DHA) should also be taken for as long as you are exclusively breastfeeding, regardless of your diet.
If your doctor detects a deficiency, they may also prescribe a vitamin D supplement.
