... change a meal?
Planter lets you swap one of the meals planned for the day with another one that has the same nutritional content, thus allowing you to maintain a balance between the food groups throughout the day.
To create a substitute meal, select the chef’s hat icon next to the meal name, select "Create substitute meal" and select the family members you want to change the meal for.
Choose one of the combinations recommended by Planter and select “Done” at the top right, or scroll down and create your own substitute meal.
Planter will tell you which food groups need to be "lit up" to make the meal complete (the ones in black and white) and, as you choose recipes that contain them, they will "light up" and change colour.
Come food groups may already be "lit up" even if no recipes have been added. This means that the minimum daily requirements for those food groups have already been met with the other meals for the day, so they aren't needed to balance your meal.
But if one of the recipes that Planter has suggested contains one of these food groups and you still want to add it, don’t worry. If Planter suggests it as an alternative, it means it can be added to the day without upsetting the balance.
Once all the food groups are lit up, click “Done” and return to your meal plan screen.
The shopping list will be changed to match the plan in real time.
Have you changed your mind? Not to worry!
Repeat the operation and select the one at the top of the list from the balanced meal alternatives suggested by Planter. This is always the same as the first meal originally included in the plan.
